IWC Ingenieur was introduced from 1954 to 1955 under references 666A and 666AD (the latter being the Date version). It features the 852 (666A) or 8521 (666AD) movements, both completed under the guidance of Albert Pellaton, who has been the technical director of IWC since 1944 and is known for creating the Pellaton winding system. As its name suggests, Ingenieur is a watch created for scientists, engineers, doctors, and people working in magnetic environments on a larger scale.
